I haven't spent my change since my grandson was born. Throw it all in a big bowl and put it in an account for him once a year. In 10 years about $4500.

I save up my change. I actually have a cup in my truck now because I always throw it in the cup holder and before I know it it's spilling over or I'll put my drink in there out of habit and spill Mountain Dew or Coke all over the place because there's not enough room. I usually cash it in before the cup gets completely full though. Last time I had $34.01 in that cup. The only reason I know that is because I almost had an exact amount and I remember weird things like that.

For the last 3 years when i get home and put my keys and wallet in the tray I dump all my change on the counter and the wife puts it in a jar. Average has been a couple hundred bucks a year between us

Wife and I always keep all change and $1 bills we get and put them in our "piggy banks," and we cash in the money every year or two and use the "change" to go to Vegas for a 3 or 4 day trip.

I was buying ice at the ice machine. I would put a 10.00 dollar bill in and would get eight 1.00 coins in change. A few times a week adds up.

I do! Cash is king when it comes to me buying and selling. I have a stainless bowl I put my change in, then segregate it into coffee cans according to denomination.

One thing I've also done, and recommend, is downloading the Acorns app. It takes the spare change on your debit card expenses, creates a savings account and invests that money in the stock markets of your choosing. So basically if you bought an item for $9.76 they round up the remaining .24 cents of that dollar and puts that into your account. I started it in December and have made a descent amount on top on my savings. Just another thing!

My son does this. I always put my change in the cup holder of the truck. Last week he went through there and said he "found" $8 in change. I told him to leave me $2 for emergencies. About 2 months ago, my son turned in $57 in change.

How do you guys cash out your change? My son used the coin service at Walmart and it felt like he was getting robbed.

I started filling a 5 gal. water jug. It got about 1/4 and I found my kids "counting" it for me. After the counting it was 1/8 full and all the quarters were gone. Filled it with water. That stopped the "counting". Got about half full and it started growing algae. Emptied it and cashed it in. Almost $800.00.

I need to do that. I have several spots I throw my change. May pay for a season of deer corn.

I do and pull the quarters every summer when we do our family vacation. We use it as our poker money. Last year, I took it to wells fargo and they had a change machine. It was free. We had right at $150 in quarters. We are not going on vacation with that side this year so no telling how much it will add up to.

I keep a true plastic piggy bank under my truck seat and when it is full, I take it inside. Keep $5 in quarters in the center console just incase. Finally got the wife on board so we should get a good little chunk of change

I used to, when I carried cash. Ever since I got held up at gun point (before I had my CHL), I don't have a desire to.
