      She probably just came into heat for the first time. This is also why many spike bucks are not inferior to fork horned yearlings. The fork horned bucks may have been bread five months earlier, born five months earlier and had five months longer to grow their first rack than their spike buck counter parts. Shoot old spikes not yearling spikes.

            I saw a buck with a doe in mid-Feb. and thought that was late. Also saw 2 bucks with antlers last week in Archer county
