I've heard of people using a brown paper bag to keep wasps away. Very interesting. I'd like to know how well that works.

Go to the feed store and buy a bag of permethrin cattle ear tags. They work as good as the no pest strips and are dirt cheap.

Thanks...permethrin is the bomb for anything without a back bone.

On a plus of you just have clear windows or just open holes , and you let the bag hang down it will get the deer use to seeing a shape in the blind . They won't think anything different on opening morning when there's a head and body in there.

Been doing this for 10 years. No wasps bees or yellow jackets! Any cattle ear tag made as fly and insect repellent seems to work. Hang one from ceiling on 4x4 stands, add one from bottom of chair on doublewide stands.

So I bought this 10% Permethrin off EBay last summer...wondering if I can pour some in a water bottle & just set it in my box blinds?
Thinking this would be less expensive than buying the Hot Shot product ($6-10 each) or even insecticide ear tags (25 count for around $25)

The wasp think it's a hornets nest and won't make a nest there.
What if the hornets think it is a hornet's nest and decide to move in?

Reminds me of the Mexicans hanging water bags with a penny in them around the restaurant swearing it deters flies while I have a fly trying to land on my chips...

Wasn't there a thread a while back with some pics showing the residue that drops off the no pest strips? Not sure I would want that stuff dropping on me. Was thinking about trying in pop ups but may go the cow ear tag approach. Hang one from top hub and one under each chair. Now only if there was a proven snake deterrent...
