The population will be just fine without that one Man. your kids can still see one. he will bite the crap out of them if they get too close though!
Broad Banded Water Snake, 1st snake I ever caught and kept it as a pet. Lets just say he really fine tuned my snake handling skills. Sucker was fast and would strike every chance he got, never did settle down.
