Dog with swollen face?

I had a dog that was like that once. He got stung by a wasp. Most dogs I've seen that have been snake bit on the nose swell up really bad. Sometimes in the throat area too.

I have seen my boxer grab a grass spider and get bit on the inside of the lip. He swelled up even worse than that. He would also break out in hives just minutes later. He was pretty allegic I guess. He did this 3 or 4 times. Each time was a trip to the vet for a steroid shot and a dose of benedryl. He would swell up so bad that he would start to have restricted breathing. Could be something like that I guess.

Mine had swelling like that last year and it turned out to be an abscess from a bite of some kind. It had to be drained by the vet so I'd take him in if he doesn't show improvement or the Benadryl doesn't help.

That happens to my lab often. He has a habit of chasing red wasps and biting them.

Mine does the same thing.
