I have a Stihl 250 that is awesome and 100% reliable.

I also have a Stihl 170 that has been a POS since day 1. In the shop every year and I still can't depend on it.

I had a Poulan that I traded away after it let me down several times. I now have a Stihl MS 250 that does everything I need it to.

Stihl MS250 starts easy even if it sits for months runs great and cuts smooth. Had mine for 10+years and still runs like a champ

I don't plan to ever own another Poulan or any other junk saw again. My Stihls and Echo run right and start every time. Its worth every penny they cost to have reliable equipment.

Get the Stihl. That is what we run on our logging jobs although not much saw work anymore. I have a 311 which is the smallest professional saw with 20" bar. Cuts anything I need. Whatever you decide on, make sure to run good fuel. I never run anything but ethanol free.
