Anyone work for USPS?

I've worked in a mail room for 10+ years and USPS is the biggest bunch of morons I've ever had the pleasure to work with. We get other peoples mail daily. Our mail is delivered to other addresses daily. If I ever have a question about anything I'm told to call an 800 number, then the lady will call to find out what I was told. And their tracking system is joke.

It's definitely a joke. Call the 800 number to get told they'll call you back within a certain timeframe but have yet to hear from them

All they tell you is that if you don't receive it within 14 days of the last scan they will open an investigation. Thanks for all the info, guess I'll just have to wait till then.

Pay the extra dollar or two to use ups. I work for em. Trust me if you say your package is lost we will dig or try your neighbors. We actually have the technology to track w a gps where your package was last scanned literally right to your front door. It helps us prevent fraud

I should've asked the guy to ship ups but I've not had an issue with usps so it didn't cross my mind. I'll be doing so in the future.

The lady told me it was shipped USPS Retail Ground. Anyone know what the timeframe is usually on that?

Ups all the way! If i can use them, i will. Ive actually paid more for an item from another vendor, just because the cheaper one would only use usps to ship! Id rather pay $10 more to assure a $20 item arrives as opposed to paying less and rolling the dice! Fedex isnt as bad as usps, but i still prefer ups. Just a warning though, both fedex and ups have started using usps to make their deliveries. They bring it to your local post office and usps delivers!

Bisch bought a ghille suit from me last year and I shipped it USPS. Weeks went by and he never got the ghille suit even though the tracking said it had been delivered.

I sent his money back to him and about a week later he sent the money back to me saying that it had been delivered after all................. To his neighbor down the street. Nothing but UPS from now on the usps is WORTHLESS

If the tracking does not show a final disposition such as delivered or return to sender then this statement is true. At least my rep relays the same message. .

I called the main 800 number and waited 45 min for a call back and that's what they told me. It last shows to have left warrendale, pa on the 10th at 4am. That is a distribution center and the phone number listed isn't for the public so you can't get anyone on the phone. I'll just wait it out and see what happens, the retail ground said 2 to 8 days on the usps site. Its been 9 now so maybe it will show up soon.
