I have been in the classroom for 9 years and today I have another shot at an admin position. I get to think about the interview all day until 3 so this should be mind numbing. I am super pumped about this and have prayed for this. I hope it is my time!

Good luck! Will say a prayer for you.

My wife started with the school district here as an assistant coach in the early 90's. She soon moved to the front office attendant clerk then to Central office as a secretary. Today, she is the Administrator over all Grant money! Set your mind to it, work hard, and do not take no for an answer!

Interview today!!!

Start the interview asking what's the biggest problem they face. Right away. Don't let them ask all the questions and wait for the end when they say ".....and do you have any questions?" You should have 2 good questions ready, though.

Then talk about how you will solve the problems (future) , not related experience (past tense).

When you shake hands, ask for the job- not I'm looking forward to hearing your decision.

'Tell me about yourself' is not a bio with job, education and family history. It's really 'why should I trust and hire you?'
