House vs barndominium

The mrs. and I decided to go with barndo type home on the ranch instead of a conventional one. As much as we want a show palace it doenst make sense to us as it will be built on our land in the country with no neighbors to speak of. It will serve as our retirement place where life should be simple.

Recently started on it, it's just me and the wife building it so its going fairly slow. Maybe should make a post in the DIY forum so document our escapades.
