I have a neighbor that lets anywhere from 10-12 people hunt on a total of about 36 acres that is split into two tracts.
This morning as I was leaving my place I heard a shot on the 21 acres of this property and saw foot prints in the wet road. I called the neighbor's house and the person that answered told me it was a friend hunting "Youth weekend". I had confirmed a few days ago that youth weekend is the 20-21st, next weekend. The neighbor's gator tracks were in the road when I got back home so I know something was shot.
I called a home number for the game warden which was disconnected, understandable. My wife then tried to find a number in the phone book, not there. She calls the sheriff's office and they won't give out the number but will have him call me. It's been a little over an hour and I haven't heard from him. They will have hightailed it by the time I do.
What good does it do for law abiding citizens to try and help the GW? I'm not only frustrated, I'm PO'd too!
