You need to figure out what your really going to do with a boat? Do you jump stumps in the river or just put around the lake? Theres no reason to buy new when you can get good deals on used that are like new. Watch for "hook" dents in the bottom, cracked transom welds, bent sides, rotten wood if it has any, normal stuff on the trailer, and run the motor in a lake if it has one
