    Comanche Texas???

Spoke to a landowner that has a small 120 acres outside of Comanche back east. It has a heavily wooded creek and the rest is mesquite brush. The place would be bow only because it is on the highway. What is hunting like in this area? Would this be too small?

Depends on the deer population and is there a travel corridor to other deer populated areas. How many hunters?

See if he would let you do a camera survey of the deer population.Could be a nice honey hole.

Had a small lease a few years back between Comanche and Cross Plains... Closer to Comanche. Had good big bodied deer on it our biggest was in the 145 range. Had a ton of turkey as well
Don't know if that is the norm or not, what I do know is I wish I would have kept it

Was the landowner's last name Mcnew by chance?

Why bow only? Doesn't matter how close it is to the roadway.

I hunt not far from there and we have a tin of turkey and pretty decent deer.

Hunted near a highway once. Used the noise from car going by to cover any noise I made while drawing.
