Crappie Bash 4?

With hunting winding down I'm thinking fishin'. Some of you are familiar with the famous Crappie Bash(crappie fishing anyway) trips to Hugo Lk in OK. Who is interested in doing it again this April?

How much are the fishing licenses in Oklahoma? I assume they have a 5 day license or something similar to what we have in Texas?

I just can't do the second week in April; Indoor Archery Finals that weekend. All other weekends are open though!

We can start a planning thread if there is enough interest I'm still waiting to hear from ol thumper and pops. I work every other weekend and will check what dates I'm off in April. We have been going the first weekend and been early in the past. OK licenses are available and can be printed online. As far as why OK? Big crappie and great accommodations that are cheap.

With all the rain this year your probably gonna hit it at a tough time again IMO. Ya'll should consider a lake that doesn't fluctuate as much like Fork or Palestine although Hugo has some pig crappie in it if you can catch em and the water level and weather cooperate.

First weekend I'm fishing CAT crappie fest on Fork. Second weekend in at Kappa Sigma 50th anniversary in Natchitoches. I might be in if it's another weekend but as finicky as that lake is in spring IDK.

You are correct sir. It's always a good time! It doesn't look like there is enough interest to justify coordinating a group trip. I'm off the weekend of April 16th and will probably go. Y'all are welcome to load up and join me.

I am interested. Would a narrow 14' jon boat with a 6hp be large enough or is there too much open water/rough water. Sounds like a great time.
