Check your plug and see what it looks like after running it. My Kawasaki Bayou did the same thing after an aftermarket carb rebuild kit was installed. It did just like you said yours does at mid throttle, but was fine at idle or full throttle. Plug was black and sooty. Regapped the plug to max tolerance and it helped a little but no fix. Anded up putting a stock main jet needle back in the carb (at the advice of a fellow TBHer) and that fixed it. If you are running an aftermarket carb, it might be worth it to try to clean the old one and rebuild it with a factory rebuild kit.

It sounds normal when idling. Just sounds like flooding at half throttle. No knocks or tapping sounds

Sounds like a possibility. I just bang on it with my hand and couldn't here any loose pieces but I know that may not make it show up.

I was thinking of taking parts out of one of the new ones and use to rebuild factory. Thing is it run great for 3-4 days with the aftermarket carb.

Sounds like too much fuel. With it running well for 3 or 4 days, sounds like a choke problem, make sure choke is not partially on and plug is not fouled out.

Well, my 500cc Ranger started doing the same thing after the kids rode around all weekend in high range, hills, creek and all. Had to replace the cam shaft and that fixed it. BTY that plug not real pretty, its running really rich and not burning all the fuel...more sigh of bad cam shaft...
