Got foxes in my neighborhood. Supposed to be a bobcat around, also.

Wow, that was cool. I think Bobcats are beautiful. Killed one when I was a teenager, but don't think I would ever do it again, even with my bow. As long as they won't harm the deer, I'd let them walk.

They'll eat a fawn no problem.

That's what I was informed of in a PM from another member. Guess I thought they were too small and focused on smaller animals. My bad.

No I think for the most part you're right. Quail and other ground nesting birds and rabbits have more to worry about than the deer. But they're opportunistic so they'd eat just about anything they can get ahold of. Whatever is easiest kind of thing. Same as coyotes except those suckers will literally eat anything. Foxes are just like coyotes. Last year there was a Red Fox eating dog food on my front porch. They're pretty fearless when they get used to humans.

saw a bobcat come out of one backyard in the colony, trot across a ditch and jump into another backyard 2 weeks ago with my son, who saw another one while fishing just south of highland park 2 days later.

At night in the summer a family of grey foxes play and catch bugs under the street light by my house here in Euless.
Sitting in the dentist chair last year a skinny little yote walked right in front of the window stopped and looked in at me. 10 in the morning north Euless.

Watched one big female kill 8 one time in a week and half on a high fence ranch I worked in college. I used to be same as you until that experience. Kill em all now. Pretty cool video floating around Facebook seeing a bobcat leap out of a tree and take down a pretty big buck fawn.

Dogs are smart to begin with. Take one that has to eek its own living...Your dealing with a different kind of dog and intelligence. They are highly adaptable and get used to human scent in the city limits. What is gonna start happening if y'all don't start killing 'em is. Pets are gonna start becoming missing in peoples yards and dogs will be attacked while being walked with owners while on leash. Yotes will get brave when hungry.
Even the most rabid PETA lover will cry kill the coyotes when FiFi gets eaten

My friend in Plano lost two cats to a bob cat living in their bushes. This is few block north of Parker and Alma. Huge green belt right there

My father in law sees coyotes in Galveston on a regular basis. I've seen a number of them along with bobcats in downtown Matagorda before.

Makes me smile reading this since I get the question..."are there any coyotes around here" very often from City Folks buying in the country. I can just see the look in some of their faces when I tell them, it's the country. Oh, they also ask "are their any snakes?"

Predators adapt as we all know...I should show them the video above but I'd never see any of them again, lol!

Bobcats can most definitely kill lots of fawns and a big male can take down a yealing
