    Predators in the city limits

My Son-in-law just sent me this photo. Look at the left portion of the picture. This is the City of Coppell on a creek directly behind their dental office. They have seen bobcats, coyotes, beavers, possums, coons, etc. over the years in this creek. Just never seen a Bobcat and Coyote together. He said the bobcat saw the yote first and got hunkered down for a fight. The yote did not pay any attention to him at first, then when he did, the bobcat hit the closest tree and went up. Pretty cool.

In the early mornings on the way in to work, I see yotes in Downtown Dallas on a regular basis. I've seen a couple of bobcats over the years also. Coons and possums are an everyday thing.

We have them in the middle of Las Vegas and I know of a pair a block from my in laws. I want to trap them but can't legally.

Brother saw a coyote in the front yard milling around for 2-3 minutes yesterday. We don't live in the city but we don't live in the country.

I know where a pack of Coyotes live in north Houston/ Aldine area. They are landlocked in a small patch of woods.

I've seen 3 or 4 yotes off 121 and Independence if Frisco. I'm sure there's more than just them.

Lived in the same house in Parker ( Collin Co ) for the last 22 years.
Coyotes used to be quite regular, but never saw a bobcat until a month ago.
One rainy Sunday morning I had two of them walk across my yard.

That is cool to see wildlife in the city. They were there first.

Saw a beaver (the furry animmal with the flat tail that builds dams, not the OTHER kind) that had been run over on North Park drive in Kingwood, and have seen several coyotes and one bobcat... Pretty cool to see. Several cats have come up missing over the years in the area... I understand that bobcats favor feral cats as a good food source... Almost makes me not want to kill bobcats!

I live on a golf course with a creek and see coyotes frequently running the creek. Just thought this pic was cool cause never seen these two predators before face to face.

I see Red Fox in and by towns more than anything. One time I saw a one carrying a cat it had caught.

Bobcats and coyotes will live in the same area though. I've called a bobcat and a coyote in on the same stand before. A buddy of mine called a bobcat and two coyotes in on one stand a few years ago.
