Had the same problem on my place so finally we threw the feeders for like 2 or 3 seconds at 7 then would have them throw again for 4 or 5 seconds at 730. Same thing in the evening, throw for 2 seconds or so at 4 or 415 then throw again at 445 for 4 or 5. This worked well for us. Btw, I shot the same turkey three times in the chest with my bow when I was a teenager and the dang thing still ran off.

Saw this on MythBusters (not with turkeys) they shot propane bottles with pistols and rifles with no explosion, just propane spewing out. They even tried multiple tracer rounds. Finally they set an explosive charge to get a tank to explode.

Why doesn't TPWD up the number of turkey tags on the license and have 1, 2, and 3 Tom counties with 3 hen tags as well? Some counties have no turkeys and others are overrun with them like hogs.
