Lol....don't know about sparkly jeans, but the square style is a little "square" for me.[emoji6] After wearing them all day yesterday I really like the feel of them. Gonna take them to RSA next week as I may encounter a black mamba.......[emoji33] [emoji15] .......God I pray not!!!

Looks to me like a mamba could bite you on the top of your head if he wanted to!

Rattlebugs concern me...........mambas scare the crap out of me!

      Good luck Oscar!

When I got them new, I painted them good with Neetsfoot oil. The leather will soak it in. It's what cowboys have always used on saddles and anything leather. It helps to waterproof and seal the seams. Every time I return from the lease, I clean them up and recoat them. If you do nothing, you will see the leather dry out and start to crack over time. It keeps the leather soft and more comfortable to wear too.

I don't have chippewa boots but I've seen mink oil recommended by many boot companies. It's a pretty old school method. I personally use bricks or lexol. I have mink oil too that I use on my older boots to water proof

Preheat oven to 150, when it reaches temp cut it off and put boots in for 5-10 minutes then rub down with Snowseal.

The heat expands the pours in the leather and melts the Snowseal so that it soaks in better.

Been doing this to all my boots for years.
