Wallowed out spot under feeder...what to do?

The hanging feeder from my post last summer has been hit regularly enough that it has developed the usual stomped down muddy puddle under it, which will probably get bigger with the predicted wet winter we're supposed to have.

Other than going through the ordeal of moving it to another tree, or changing it from a hanging feeder to one with normal legs and moving it a little, has anyone tried filling in the area under a feeder with pavers or anything like that?

    Bag of quickcrete? Gravel?

I ended up taking a few bags of sack crete, dug out the hole and made a solid footing and made a small pad. Holding strong for over two years now

        Quickcrete works well.

If you put pea gravel in your feeder the hole would fill itself

Don't ask me I put big flat rocks and gravel I dug by hand, the deer just kicked it all back out looking for corn. And I mean big rocks. I am going to go the quickcrete route. When the season is over and I have shut the feeder off for a couple of weeks or the deer will just dig it out again.

Dump 6 or 8 sacks of quickcrete in it, it will set up in a couple of hours and fix the problem for ever

Lay some hog panels on the ground under feeder and stake them down

Hog panels staked onto the ground aren't appealing for looks (who cares?) and will certainly stop the rooting. Critters still eat the corn fine

After a few months hog panels will not even be noticeable. Hogs and deer will push it down in the dirt about 1/2 inch.

filling in with rocks and gravel does not work!
they will have it dug out in a day.

Tried the sacrete adn didn't work to my satisfaction. Had bunches of salvaged 2x6 treated lumber so build 6' x 6' platforms and put one under each feeder. This was after we had rented a skid-steer and refilled the holes. Amazing how much mud sticks to pigs' legs to get carried off when they come and go and come and go.

Might be breaking a few arrows.
