The Yeti scientists will be by shortly to debunk your methodology. [emoji41]

FTR, I have no dog in this fight, I just enjoy the debates.

Why is there less water in the RTIC?

How much water and how many whole ice cubes put in each?

Honest question. Has the Yeti been washed in the dishwasher?

Ive washed mine several times and not noticed any change. But some folks have reported a change in the ability to hold ice after vacuum was lost

Never been I dishwasher, that's why it so dirty. Don't get me wrong, I love my Yeti tumbler. I only use two mugs a day and both are Yeti. I have the small for coffee and the 30oz. is for everything else...even my cold beers go in there. I just want to see how they compared for the test.
It does feel like the RTIC is a little light in weight than the Yeti.

man i was gonna post the same thing. I bought an Rtic tumbler on 12/2 and it got here 12/8. estimated delivery was 1/6/16. figured I try an Rtic product with a lower commitment price and have been impressed with the cup so far. I filled it with ice this morning and gonna check on it once I get home. I might give the cooler a shot eventually. awesome post!

The countertop was warmer underneath the yeti, thus causing it to melt faster, plus I can tell it was also underneath the vent with your heat on

Makes sense. There's no dignity in the RTIC so it is gonna feel lighter.

If you got that Yeti on sale then that's the problem. I've been told you must pay an arm and leg for it to have any chance of holding ice.

You mean the seal on the lid? The walls are vacuum insulated, which you'd have to puncture to lose.

Their commercials show a guy cooking on an open fire with one. That's easier on them than a dishwasher? Lol

But does it show him having a cold one in it later? [emoji6]
