I saw this demod at the TX Trophy Hunters Extravaganza and was very impressed.
I didn't have the coin at the time or I would've grabbed it up! (was there window shopping I guess)

I'm tempted to buy now tho!
Can someone tell me how long those belts usually last?

It may have been asked already. If so, sorry.

Have one and love it or at least my son does. He has it more than me. If buying again would get the Ken Onion. The wider belt will help a lot in preventing the rounded tip

just got mine in the mail. got the kitchen knives reasonably sharp....I may need some training. I wouldn't call them "razor" sharp, but surely I'm not doing something right. I'll keep practicing before I use it on my hunting knives.

Anyone want to offer some guidance, I'm all ears.

          much grass.

I have one and like it. As others have stated, you must keep the knife totally straight all the way through and not allow it to drop down as the tip of the blade come out of the guide. You can round the tip of a knife with this sharpener pretty easily, just practice with a couple old kitchen knives and you'll get the hang of it very quickly. I would recommend it.

No rounded tips here. Buy a pair of very small vice grips to hold broadhead blades.

                Ken onion model...

We also own a warthog and still use it occasionally....but my knives have never been as sharp as they are with the work sharp.

I also have the tip eating problem, probably user error. It really shines on machetes!

I say meh, #1 you can't sharpen the blade to your grind lines #2 when you drag it through the guide it'll scratch the knife.

Love mine. Sharpen anything and everything. My dad had me sharpening everything he owned.
