    DSLR camera suggestions

Planning on buying a new DSLR camera to film a lot of my hunts with. I have one in mind but wanted to see if there are any suggestions on DSLR's.

Same use and Canon 70D has been great for me. High quality pics and great video if you want it

I'm a Nikon guy but Cannons good too. Don't think you would go wrong with either brand.

I have a Nikon D3100 but I am looking to upgrade. I am actually looking at and liking everything I see about the Canon 70D. One of the hosts of our show has one and I really like it. Upgrading my DSLR is gonna be way cheaper than upgrading my XHA1.

Have you already been filming your hunts? I know a lot of people use their DSLRs for video, but in a hunting scenario, I sure like the simplicity of my little Panasonic compact digital camcorder. And I have a Canon 5D iii right there in the blind with me, but I use it for still photography only.

Yeah I am on youtube. The show's youtube channel is Hunt Wicked Close Tv The Next Level. I don't have many hunting videos on my channel cause up until last year I sucked at editing but now that I have a good editing software I am going to upload a lot of my hunts on there

Another vote from me for the Canon 70D. I have had it for about a year or more now. The coolest feature on it for me is the wifi to send the pics to my cell right away and the remote feature I can use to take pics with it. It's quiet and fast and easy for me to use.

3 out of 4 recommendations are for the camera I have been looking at and thinking about getting. I guess that makes it a pretty easy decision

I have a canon 7d and it is a great piece of equipment. I still prefer the smaller handheld camcorders for videoing in the field, and use my Canon for still photography.

If it's going to be for general use get the Cannon. Nikon makes the best glass so if it's for special use go that direction but be willing to spend big bucks for the good lenses.

Who make the best glass is a very debatable topic on any photography forum. A lot of Canon shooters think the Canon L-series lenses are better than anything Nikon offers. And lens quality is the main reason I chose Canon. That said, there are probably just as many Nikon shooters who think the opposite. And if the OP is already well invested in Nikon lenses, I would probably go that route.
