I would stay away from 4k. It's really just a marketing gimmick that looks pretty when you are at Best Buy standing in front of televisions. Real world use makes 4k pointless, unless you just want the latest and greatest.

I am not a TV guru but I bought a Vizio a few years ago. I had a problem setting it up. I called the 1-800 number in the manual. An American answered the phone and there was no hold time. He spoke perfect English. He walked me through the problem and I bet I was not on the phone for 10 minutes. I was so impressed with that I told myself I would by another Vizio when I upgrade.

Price wasn't really a problem when we were looking but they were still a bit cheaper than others and have been great so far and Ive got 3 of the 60" in the house.

Ended up going with a 55" sony bravia 4k UHD. Couldnt be happier! I went to alot of stores and looked at alot of TV's and the sony was the one I thought looked best. You should spend some time looking at the store and comparing picture quality and maybe another brand looks great to you....also stick with the TV manufacturer for the sound bar it makes life alot easier.

So did a little research before going back to Best Buy and the Sharp was out.
Found two other samsungs that I drove into town to look at. Long story short, they didn't have the samsungs in stock.
So as I was walking around I saw the scratch and dent with a 65" Sony Bravia 4K. There is a scratch on the screen so the guy at best buy was very nice and pulled the TV out for me to see. the scratch was noticeable and we turned it on. I could se it so I kept telling the guy to just put it back. He insisted that we look at one of the demos, once he put it on a demo the scratch went away.
So it was listed at 1200 and the mgr took another 10% off. so I bought a sony soundbar and he took 10% off that. All in all I got a $2000 tv and a $400 sound system for $1500. Call that a win for me!
