Brady / Mason rut report

Just back from our place between Mason and Llano. Saw one young buck chase a young doe but that was it. Not sure if it has already happened in our area or if its getting ready to happen. I'm hoping for the latter!

They are definitely chasing. This past weekend the only bucks we saw were 1.5yr olds, so the older bucks are definitely on the move looking for does.

Trophy 8 shot a decent 10 early this AM. He said they are definitely going hot right now.

If you can go, you need to be hunting this week!! Bucks are getting fired up and should be full blown rut by the middle of the week. This weekend might be good as well. I saw lots of bucks chasing. And I prevented one from harassing anymore haha

I hunt just north of Richland Springs. This weekend I saw the younger bucks showing a lot of interest in the does but it's obviously not happening just yet. This weekend should be good IMO.
