I know I know....I just like to argue sometimes and if you think about it, it makes sense

It's not that it doesn't come with tags, but that is a NON GAME ANIMAL license.

Javelina, squirrel, and alligator are game animals.

The reason it is not valid for deer is because it doesn't come with tags. The tags are the basis for everything the license is used for.

And they are listed exceptions, and deer are excluded. Has noting to do with the tags. I think you are over thinking this.

I will never tag a deer again...thanks for clearing that up!

I know and I get it...but it would be easy to contest it in court the way it is written if somebody ever really wanted to.

You should always overthink and try to understand things in life. There are loopholes and benefits to be found for the weary eye...I have found a few in the Nevada laws.

Go buy you a $48 NR license and shoot a deer and tag it with a MLD tag and present it to the GW. I'd be interested in how that turns out after you contest the ticket he gives you.

After hunting out of state a few times I myself believe that our NR tags in Texas are too cheap.

                  I don't have to buy a license so it's a non factor.

Without a doubt. My Nevada elk tag cost $1200. We should do like other states. Charge $315 for the license and $300 per tag for deer.

"Lucky" for me, one of my few perks of what I get from uncle sugar and the VA is resident hunting license fees in most states and free licenses for life in Texas.

It's pretty simple. It says not valid for deer. Your no tag needed excuse wouldn't hold up. Not sure how much clearer a law needs to be written when it says not valid for deer??? It doesn't say not valid for deer unless on mld land??

would like to know how you swing that. Maybe I am not using my VA benefits to their full extent.
