Anyone know why they draw so late and miss the first two weeks of archery season, are they conducting other hunts... youth, disabled or veteran hunts the first few weeks would make sense but I've not heard this. If not what is the reason, seems to be a waste otherwise.

Last year the guy running the hunt said that they typically wait due to lack of deer activity early in the season.

CWD was real bad this summer. Killed off 3/4 of the herd. :'(

Finally me and the wife got drawn at granger. Good luck to everybody and congrats to those that got drawn. Looking forward to finally being able to harvest deer out there. Has anyone had issues with theft of gear? I have seen stands and feeders before but not sure how common it really is.

Yep really.

Theft is pretty bad out there imo. In our group last year we lost 4 lock ons and a game cam.

We made it in on the standby!!! To bad the deer numbers are so bad out there this year....be lucky to kill a doe or two.

That sucks nothing worse than a thief. Guess I will be packing in and out. We got on the stand by also. Wonder if someone went out this evening.
