Was at church working on a sprinkler head next to the drain pipe and almost put my hand on one when I reached out to steady myself when I was getting up--but noticed it and used a chisel on it instead! Never been hit by one and from all the descriptions, I don't want to either.

Meat tenderizer and a small bit of water to make a paste and apply. It will break down the proteins and help with soreness.
