Looks most likely like an asp. Or syphilis. Could be either one according to Internet pictures. Be careful with it and wash your hands frequently.

Wrst pain I ever felt was from a serious asp bite on my inner thigh...lost all controls of muscles below the waist. That was a 3 day ordeal I do not want to deal with again. Good luck! All hospital will do is put you to sleep till the venom has run its course

                  Soak it in cider...
Actually, I had two of them hit me a few weeks ago. First one burned like no sting ever for about 30 minutes, then got better. Then the second one got me.

Yea, you stay away from those guys. They will bring the pain, that's a larvae of the southern flannel moth which hides a series of venomous spines under it soft hairs

p u s s moth caterpillars rarely cause serious damage to trees; however they can pose a health hazard to children and gardeners. Intense, throbbing pain develops immediately or within five minutes of contact with the caterpillar. Stings on the arm may also result in pain in the axillary (armpit) region. Erythematous (blood-colored) spots may appear at the site of the sting. Other symptoms include headaches, nausea, vomiting, lymphadenopathy, lymphadenitis, and sometimes shock or respiratory stress. Pain usually subsides within an hour and spots disappear in a day or so.

Try vicks vapor rub, at least that's what our church secretary says. She claims it works for everything.

Try soaking it in Epsom salt. Had one fall beneath my shirt while trimming limbs out of a pecan tree and sting me 12 times.
