New Lease, where to set?

I got on a new lease. 80 acres total indicated by the red property line.
My 7 yo daughter will be the shooter as long as she's willing. If she loses interest or has had enough, then it's my turn.
That being said, I'm uncertain on where to put the stand.

I usually have pretty good intuition about where the deer are, but in this case, I have the decision to either fight the goats, or hunt a very limited section of the property with another hunter.

Also, The stand he said I can hunt, until I get an established spot, is facing a house and barn. Granted, it is very thick trees between the feeder and the house, I'm not a big fan of the set up. I thought about moving the stand and feeder to the spot where the arrows are pointing and finding a new spot during the off season.

Thoughts?

Get on google maps and pull that property up and zoom in and search all over the property for trails. I scout trails with google maps and google earth religiously and it has NEVER let me down!

I do that too, but goats make trails too.

Yes you are right but I have never seen a goat trail that deer didn't follow either or didn't eat and water in the same areas also.

I like the small clearing middle far right property line. Good thicket on neighboring property possibly a good bedding area.


Just looks like a good funnel from your setups to neighbors land on the right.

There and the saddle just north west of that spot.

Bow stand and feeder in white area. Maybe a gun blind in the area as well. I'd think deer bed or travel to that area from the woods in pink if you had a food source near your set.

Looks like that's where the goats might be though.
