off topic, but a guy I hunt with bought a show pig several years ago and released her near one of the feeders where we hunt. she was off limits, stayed around, had several "litters", and you can still see the domestic quality in the hogs on the place. it helped the whole herd. she was also very tame, and would come by just about every feeder and bring wild pigs with her. we would pick them off one at a time until the herd was gone, then shed find another group and bring them by for us. after we would shoot they'd all scatter except mable, we'd scratch her head on our way by to track the pig we shot. we think the neighbor finally shot her but she was around for probably 5-7 years. ill see if I can find any pics of her

We fed out 4 wild ones last year. Corn and all neighbors table scraps. They would eat anything but raw carrots

Show pigs get exercised if done properly and show feed isn't good for eating pigs. So 30 days would be minimal and maybe 90 if possible, on concrete is a good place for pigs.

I guess I really need to find out what he is feeding. My buddy said it's not show feed but I'd really like to know what it is. Either way I'm picking it up next Friday to take to Jackson's in baytown.

Just feed out with corn for 2 or 3 weeks and it will be good to go.
