C5s fly over our place in Pleasanton all the time. I guess they are doing touch and gos at Lackland/Kelly.

I posted here after it happened. I was sitting in the stand at our lease in Sargent Dec 2004 or 2005. All is quiet when two fighter jets flew directly over my head. They were low enough that the trees moved and I could feel the pass in my chest. They were across the field and out of view before I heard the engine noise. It scared the crud out of me. They were headed directly towards the nuclear plant south of Bay City.
Happened a couple more times but not as low.

The pilot that flew over us this morning was definitely doing it on purpose. All I saw when he came in was prop, the front of the wings, and the nav lights. He was coming in so slow that you would've thought he was hovering. Once he either got as close as he wanted, or when he noticed us looking at him, he then throttled up and pulled off. He was definitely trying to be sneaky, which was why I thought it was a warden. I called the local office and they said they didn't have anyone in the air, but that I could call the Austin office.

When I was young one of the guys that played golf where we played had his own crop dusting service. There were numerous times when he would buzz us, wheels almost touching the tops of golf cars. I think he did is just cause he was mad because he wasn't out there playing. Plus, a whole lotta crazy.

McKinney airport has both Texins and N Texas flying clubs. As a few stated almost certainly training, simulate engine failure where instructor throttles back fully and student must have a clear landing area in sight. Airplane is super quiet like that.
I must have had the same instructor as Mike T cause I'm pretty sure we were knocking off corn.
A year later we experienced true engine failure on a ferrying flight. Good thing for training.
