Fixed power scopes, is there something I don't know.

It seems it's point of impact is different for me and both kids. It's Red Dot brand on their X Bow it has the multiple cross hairs.

How much scoped weapon shooting experience do your children have? Have they been shooting scoped small bore rifles for a while, and can't hit anything with the red dot scope? Or is this the first time they have looked through magnified glass and still learning to aim?

Also, do you have the ability to use open sights with this xbow? And do they shoot better that way?

Personally I think it isn't the scope, but the kids shooting ability with the xbow. If the stock is too big, or they are scared of the sound, or just don't have much experience behind the glass, it stands to reason that they might be all over the place in relation to you and each other. That is where I would look first, and since you know how they shoot, go from there.

They are not all over. They have tight groups as do I when I shoot it. The point of impact is different for all of us.

Its not that its a fixed power. The fact that POI is different from person to person holds true for all magnified optics.

This. Point of impact is different because point of view through optical is different for each individual

This, but if you are centered directly behind scope, point of impact should be the same.

Agreed, but the facial dimensions of an adult male vs an adolescent will be different. The distance between cheek to eye will change poi. Kids should be fairly close if they aren't drastically different in size
