No, illegals can't vote, and adding in additional voter registration requirements has been proven to infringe on Constitutional rights.

But immigrants that have legally become citizens can vote. Apparently there has been record numbers of people becoming citizens so they can vote in this election. I heard some very interesting interviews with a lady from Ireland and a man from Argentina who had lived here for year (working legally on Visas) but just now decided to get citizenship because they feel this is such an important event that will have a massive impact on their future.

That scares me a bit.

I think you should be a property owner to vote. Or have a minimum amount of paid taxes in your history to qualify to vote. If you don't pay your way you shouldn't have a vote.

I don't think so! Tell that to the "O-blah-ma" camp who is picking up students in droves in Ohio. 3 luxury buses....every 30 minutes....taking "would be" non-voters to voter registration. There's a passionate group of americans who really understand the issues??!!?? The same can be said for the radio addresses that run "around the clock" in the low-income and minority areas.....which only focus on a "single issue".

No they can't vote. Its basically a scare tactic they are using to pass laws which make it harder for Americans to vote. There have been very few if any prosecutions for voter fraud in the US mainly because there isn't any. They use voter ID laws to suppress the vote in certain areas. Its pretty un-American IMHO. I'm more worried about fraud from electronic voting machines, than people trying to vote more than once, or illegals voting. Its much easier to manipulate a machine than thousands of people.

That is s given Mike. I am for more stringent requirments than just that. Just because you are born here does not mean you want what is best for this country, heck look at what our elected officials have done to us so far. And they are all citizens, I just think we should have more requirments to hold office, and vote.

With the current system Bozo the Clown could round up all the idiots in liberal college classes and have them vote for him, Oh wait that is already happening.
