By chance do you remember which compartments those were?

      Bump

I'm on board for the Dec 7-11 archery hunt but will probably only be there the first 2-3 days. Looking forward to it!

Im ready for the Dec. 16th hunt as well. I would like to hear how the roads are doing. I hope the weather cooperates for all since my buddies and I are looking forward to getting some time away. I just need to get my camping gear packed up this week. Good luck, and keep us updated.

How is the camping situation out there? Do they usually have room for everyone?

            Normally

About 8 spots on 287 and several screened shelters on the county road that divides N/S

Cool thanks! A Chevy colorado isn't the most comfortable vehicle to spend the night in lol

Two days into this hunt and not one peep. Speaks volumes.

Two days and only one doe seen, and that was while walking to my stand. Only excitement I had was the last 5 minutes of shooting light when a nice hog walked up and got killed. I think only one doe had been shot among all hunters as of Tuesday night. It's just too warm and there's too much food.

Last year I found a white oak that was producing large acorns an sat about 25yds off of it. I bet I saw 15 deer that hunt.

I'm sitting in a ground blind right now... Saw a decent buck yesterday but couldn't tell if he was big enough, he was too far away to shoot even if he was. Other than that I haven't seen anything but deer and pig tracks and armadillos...
I did hear what sounded like two pigs getting stuck this AM though so at least someone got something!

If you haven't already, find a producing oak tree and hunt it. My place is 5 miles up the road from there, give or take, and our deer are on acorns like a duck on a junebug. good luck!
