Gus Engeling Draw Hunts

Thought I'd start a thread for everyone that drew any type of hunt this year at Gus Engeling. I looked but don't think one has been started yet. I thought we all could put any info we learn on here and maybe it would help the hunters after you. I've seen this done in years past and a lot of helpful info was shared. I drew a GD antler less hunt for Dec 16-18. Never been there and am wanting to camp in one of there campsites. I heard you need to get there early or even the day before to get a site. I won't be able to make it the day before so I'm hoping they'll still be some available the day the hunt starts.

I posted in the drawn hunt thread about my experience last year. Overall it was a good time and good hunt. Me and a couple friends will be there at the same time as you. We will also be camping.

we drew for either sex archery dec 7-11. been once before on spike/antlerless hunt and saw a ton of deer.

My son and I will be there Oct31-Nov1 for the youth antlerless/spike hunt.

Don't think we drew a single hunt at GE this year, we put in for every hunt they had

Was drawn gun deer antlerless Nov 3-5. I'll be camping, I hope to get a site or at least be able to share a site with someone.
Never hunted there and looking forward to it!

My nephew and i will be there oct 31-nov1 and also on nov 21-22. First year i put him in and he drew both. We will be camping at the upper camp off of the county road if we get a spot. Hope to meet some of you there.

I just spoke with a lady there and she told me they don't take reservations for camping spots, it's first come first serve. She did say that the gates would be open at noon the day before the hunt starts so you can get a camp spot and set up. I told her I'd be driving up after work the day before and probably wouldn't get there until about 9pm so that was good to hear. She said just come on in and find a spot! She also said there was camping available at Fairfield state park about 20 miles away.

I thought all of the hunts had been drawn already
