One last quick suggestion....don't over cook them. Lambchops are best when still pink in the middle (medium rare).

pink in the middle is more medium... You want closer to red for medium rare...

I'm medium rare- rare on basically everything....

Look up the temp charts for real USDA ratings of what they are cooked too

Keep it simple as stated several times above.... olive oil ans S&P.... I prefer mine as rare as possible... bone them out and just grill the loin or grill the loin with the bones on it... Better control on doneness...

Just batter them and chicken fry 'em!

Use your buddy's grill or someone's beside your own... Don't want to go stinkin' up your own grill!!

I'm not a fan of lamb...

If it's got a gamey taste then it's probably mutton.

Everyone in the family loves lamb except the wife. She says it has a taste she does not like. The rest of us just shake our head.

Fire is getting hot, chops are seasoned! Time to teach the gf how to shoot a dove then we're going to grill!

How did you end up cooking them?

I put olive oil, sea salt, coarse ground pepper and garlic salt

They were about 1" thick so I did about 5 min on each side over some hot coals

Then wrapped in foil and they sat probably 15-20 min while we finished other dishes.

                          They were very, very good

I'm jealous you've got a place to buy lamb. We have to raise our own. Love lamb shish kabob almost as much as chops!

Ya I guess we got lucky, the madre made it happen. It's been a while since I've had lamb and I never remembered how good it could be
