If I had to choose just one area, I'll be the oddball and say somewhere in Houston County/Trinity County on the Trinity River bottoms I love being down in the bottoms, even though getting a deer out of there isn't always the easiest thing to do. I killed one hog down in the bottoms and swore I'd never do it again after dragging that beast out of there

If you could choose one place

ill be the crazy one, I live in southeast tx, about an hour east of Houston, and half hour west of Beaumont, and wouldn't live far from here. plenty of places to make a good living, an hour and a half from rayburn and Toledo, 20 mins to the salt water, some of the BEST waterfowl hunting, pretty good dove hunting, all the hogs I can stand, and decent sized deer in fairly decent numbers (if you know how to hunt them). also im within an hour of everyone in my family. to me the answer is obvious, while the hill country is beautiful, I can live with visiting there a couple times a year, to have the convenience of the above mentioned basically in my back yard. Here are just a few pics

We are getting closer to finishing our house on Texoma, the lake would have had to come up another 10 feet to reach our slab, I love the area from the lake all the way to the panhandle along the river.

If we are restricted to texas, I would stay right where I am. All my stuff is here and I can drive anywhere else I want to go.

Globally, I would be parked somewhere right in the middle of the plains of Argentina.
