Selling my 2017 model 1000xp today to a friend of a friend. It’s been used but surely not abused. I’ve done only normal maintenance and all four axles due to cv boot problems. It’s done everything I wanted to date. Not a complaint about it. My family has out grown it, and it’s time for a four door Jeep. I had planned to keep it 10-15 years otherwise. And at the pace it was on, it would have been no problem.

I bought a 2007 Ranger XP700 New. Only thing I have replaced was the belt once and rebuilt the front and rear suspension. Its been the best machine ever. I would have a hard time passing up a XP700 crew in good condition.

Maybe so but it’s nice to review what folks have experienced in those eight years. Seems like for every happy ranger there’s 2-3 that cuss them.

Don't have polaris info for you op, but I vote honda. My old 3 wheeler is still the most dependable machine I have. Boss has a Honda pioneer 700. Has rolled it no less than 6 times and beats the living dog $h!t out of it. Has never changed a plug, filter or fluid. After 6 years still runs like a champ.

We had 2 ranger 150s, a 2018 and a 2020, both spent more time in the shop than in my garage over the year or so we owned them, literally, no lie. Polaris took the 1st one back after it shelled 2 motors due to an oil delivery issue, and gave me a $1500 voucher towards a new one.

We got the 2020 and it was one thing after another with it as well and I finally just told them to keep it and they bought it back from me.

I'll never own another Polaris.

I have a 2011 Ranger crew that I bought from a buddy. I don’t hot dog or mud bog it but I don’t have any problems and it rides like a Cadillac at the deer lease.

Kubota diesel for reliability. But not for speed. But if I want my Kubota to go fast, I just pull it up on the trailer. Tundra will pull it 100mph. Mine is only three years old, so of course, no issues. Friend has one with 5000 hours. Axles and seals been replaced, and fuel shutoff solenoid. Dealer told about one they service pretty regularly that has 11000 hours. He says axles been replaced "a couple times" and the radiator, and tires. Still running fine. Can't go over 15 mph., in my pasture anyway, without turning over and/or ruining kidneys. Don't have to worry about gasoline going bad, just use farm diesel like everything else on the farm. The newer ones like mine have a little bigger engine and independent rear suspension. They ride pretty good. My friend's is an older one, his rides like a springless wagon.

I have a 2014 Pioneer 500 that I bought new when they were difficult to find. It's been great. No problems and I have hunted some of the most rugged terrain you will ever find. I did do a 2" lift to get a little more ground clearance. This was just adding spacers to the shocks. No new suspension components.

2012 Polaris crew 800 EPS here since new. Goes to Colorado every year and gets put through some ROUGH stuff! Broke an axle one time in CO, other the that never had a problem out of it and it's lifted and converted to running truck tires. I am overly aggressive with the maint on it, but it has been a great machine. Won't break so I can upgrade! I read all the negatives on Polaris's on here but my experience has been the opposite

Knock on wood, but I have not had many issues aside from mice eating a wire harness. I did replace the tires. I call her honey badger bc she doesn’t give a **** and has been put through hell on occasion. Never had another brand to compare though.

2009 Polaris Ranger here. I have replaced bushings, 1 belt, and axle boots. Wore out 2 sets of tires. Put new brakes on when I did the boots, but the original ones still looked decent. It’s been a hell of a machine.
