It may just be a coincidence but I was on a lease and everybody had a 4 wheeler/side by side, the guys with the polaris seemed to always have problems, the Honda kawasaki guys not so much, I think that new Kawasaki mule may be the ticket, they are fuel injected and have the independent suspension. I do know some Polaris owners who swear by them, they have had good luck with them.

I've got a 2012 crew with 2600 miles/800+ hours and have had 0 problems out of it. I take it annually for maintenance and I also don't abuse it. We have four other guys on the lease with Rangers and as far as I know no. Have had issues. Heck one of the guys also has 2 rzr's.

I am looking as well, I have always been a Polaris owner. I looked at the Honda and they just don't seem to be a UTV for any kind of work, as far as the crew model.

Have a 2011 800 Crew that I use to haul feed, fencing material, dead animals and lots of other stuff on a regular basis. Regular maintenance is something I do with all my toys and I have had no problems with the Ranger.

Had a Gator got rid of Gator.

We have a 2010 Ranger that has done really well. That said, we have these in our rental fleet and they are the biggest pain in the ***. Kawasaki, Polaris, Honda, Bobcat, Cushman, Kubota, etc will all become a money pit if they're driven like they shouldn't be. I doubt we have one with half its original parts still on the machine.

We have a Polaris EV and the only complaint we have with the machine is with the charging system. The charger went out on ours within a month of buying it (brand new...and this machine is very well kept and not abused in any way). The dealership replaced the charger for us, and it lasted a few months before we started having problems with the new one. Here's the kicker though...eight months after the first charger was replaced, we got a bill in the mail for the new charger and labor! This should have been covered by their six month warranty, but Polaris refused to pay the dealership, so they passed the expense on to us. The dealership ended up dropping their entire line of Polaris because they said that we were one of several clients that Polaris refused to honor their warranty with.

Regardless of how good the machine is, we will never buy again from a company that won't honor their warranty!

That is because they are. Not that is a bad thing, I am glad Honda is stepping up. The consumer wins with more competition.

I have 2009 Ranger with no issues. I am sure Honda makes a good machine, but if you need a crew and bed space it's a no brainier.

Only thing I'll buy is a Ranger. They are that much better than every other side-by-side.

Problems I have with them are overheating, but then any water-cooled machine that gets clogged radiators will do the same thing.

I had a 2010 xp 800 I like it the only problem I had was the front u joints went out within the first 50 hrs. I sold it a couple years ago and went back to a yamaha grizzly. It makes it easier going back and forth to the lease not having to pull a trailer. I do miss it sometimes though.

I'm partial to Polaris, everything my family has owned since I can remember has been Polaris and great. The 45+ people that I go to the ATV/UTV parks all have Rzrs/Rangers, nothing ever breaks that isn't brought on by us. We never see any hondas out there if that answers your question.
I agree except one thing. You didnt metion. If you try to go through a bad muddy spot in high. Your belt will slip. Brother in Law and I found this out several years ago with a brand new ranger. Lo gear, no issues.. oh and operator error of running with the parking break on lol.
