I hate allergies. Mine are acting up real bad this year too. Alerga and Flonase has kept me from having any problems that past three or four years but they arent helping me out either this year. I didnt even hunt this evening because I was so tired of blasted snizing all weekend. Im with you wish they had a vaccine my new lease is covered in ragweed and cedar both of which do me in.

I am going to go to the doc and try out some of those new meds though. Ill do anything at this point.

Here's a home remedy that seems to help some (but I still take all the meds):
mix 1 TBL local honey, 1 TBL Apple Cider Vinegar, 8 oz water and drink 2x per day.

I agree, between the sniffling, sneezing, and coughing that I do when I get outside, I doubt that anything will come in front of me if I tried to hunt. Then if they did, I probably couldn't see them clearly through my peep because of my itchy watery eye. Next week if ragweed doesn't go down, I'm going to be wearing a mask in the stand! I'm going to the Allergy and Asthma Center of Austin this week to try to get some relief.

        Allergies

I have been fighting them for years, finally my dr. tried a shot that contained Kenolog and Decedron. One is a fast acting steriod the other is a slow duration steroid. It will open you up and at least be able to breath.

I'm going to see an allergy specialist tomorrow. In the post above about the vaccine, Dr. Howland was quoted a few times. He's the Dr. that I'm going to. I'll let y'all know what he says for treatment options.

I am allergic to nearly everything in the air LOL Allegra-D used with Nasonex has been absolutely awesome. Have to hit up a doctor though.

Here is what my allergy test looked like:

Its a weird angle, but top left is my shoulders and bottom right is my lower back.

The nurse came in and said "oh god" and then they made me take something under my tongue cause they thought my throat might swell. To me it was just another day Seriously, at one point something was causing my lips to swell so big I thought they were going to burst. Now that I am on allegra I can live life normally.

Thank goodness mine are during Turkey season.

I tried everything this year...I do not recommend the steroid paks. I tried to get through one this past Spring and it was the worst feeling, wacked my sleeping schedule up and had me wired all day...I only made it through 3 days of the cycle and had to quit taking them. Miserable.

The nasal flush seems to really help me.

I am blessed and feel for all you guys and gals out there with the problems. I have never had allergy issues other than those nasty hornets, they will kill me. My wife and daughter are in the same boat most of you are in as both have sinuous infections right now.

Sorry to laugh at your expense, but I just got this picture in my head.
I've just started seeing an ENT for my allergies. What suprised me was that he said the itchy eyes along with several other symptoms are often FOOD ALLERGIES!
I wasn't able to watch the video in your link so I have no idea what it was about, maybe something similar to what my doc has going? He has developed an allergy drop solution. He also offers the common shots, but these drops you do 3x per day under your tongue and don't have the hassle of going to the doc once or twice a week.
                      His website is:http://allergydropsolutions.com/
On my inital visit he gave me some of the drops for food allergies. I had to be off of my normal Alegra D and stuff for three weeks before he could do the testing for the inhalants. The first round of drops I got were too strong and made my headaches worse. When I went back I got the right formulation and all was good!
I had the testing done and they mixed up a solution specific to my allergins. I misunderstood my instructions and stopped taking the drops for the food allergies when I picked up the other drops. Headaches and itchy eyes came right back!
In another day or two the foods should be in check. I'm not sure on the inhalants yet. They told me it was too late in the season to do much for with with the ragweed.
Sorry for the long read, but I wanted to provide the information for all of you who have "tried everything else". I'll try to remember to check back and follow up with how the drops work out.
I've put off getting something done (more than the normal Allegra, Claritin, and the rest. I too have tried them all) about my allergies for 20+ years.

Your test looks a lot like mine did. They said on the grass one they couldn't tell which one reacted the worst since they all overlapped each other. My advice to you is do not try the allergy shots. I took them and when I got to full concentration they almost had to take me to the ER. Luckily the allergist I was using at that time was right across from the ER in the hospital. They had me sit down in a wheel chair while they observed me for over an hour to see if they were going to need to rush me over there. They had already called over and had everything ready for me but luckily they didn't need to take me over there.

Allegra-D doesn't work for me. The good thing is when I called this allergist and had the initial phone screen with his nurse, she said they can give me much better medicine. Evidently there is some new meds out there that work better than allergra, claritin, zertec, benadryl, etc. that they said they would give me a prescription to get me through the rest of the ragweed season.

Did not read the whole post but I have pretty bad allergies, mainly cedar, and have foubd a miracle drug. Alavert alergy sinus. get the alavert alergy sinus it is better than the regular alavert. you dont need a prescription but you do have to get it from the pharmicist because it contains the ingredients for making meth. this stuff works so good it is amazig and no drowisiness like benadryl. I carry this with me at all times and you will to if you try it, I promise.

The most amazing thing I have found is called Lampe Berger. Lampe Berger lamps were originally used in hospitals in Europe to clean the air of germs, impurities and bacteria, invented in the early 1900s. It reduces pollens, bacteria, allergens and purifies the air. It has helped me so much with allergies. I have two now. You just run it a little while and it works. Many allergy and asthma sufferers use it. I don't take any medications anymore for allergies. This Lampe Berger has a catalytic burner. I have had them for one year now. When I don't run them, I can tell the difference.
