    1) Par- one in, two out, hitting 3 off the tee, on in 4, in for 5. OB is stroke and distance (rehit) Where are you playing par 5s where youre 100 yds away after a drive?
    2) Bogey- One in, two out, on in 3, home in 4
    3) Bogey- Drive, penalty, approach, chip, hole

    Gary P Nunn on Cow Pasture Pool- Hittin 5, Hollarin 4 and writing 3 down for my score.

      1. one out, two back in, three is second drive, four is 100 out, five gets on green, six is in the hole

      2. one in water, two out, three to green, four in the hole

      3. one to the tree, two is unplayable lie, three is off green, four is chip, five is in the hole

      bogey, bogey, bogey

      water= 2 strokes
      OB= 2 strokes
      Unplayable= 1 stroke

      from the write up it seems to me in scenario one his drive was 100 yds out

          I see it as 3 bogeys. I agree with Chris. ^^^^^

          Unless I'm misunderstanding the par 5. You are right the provisional ball is #3.

              I stand corrected. I misread the first scenario. His second drive was 100 out, on green then one putt for eagle=par

              That is a short par 5....

                    All scenarios are hypothetical, so accurate yardage on shots was not taken into account.

                    However, for the par 5... first drive OB, provisional in play, fourth shot leaves me 100 out, fifth (100 yard shot) on the green, 6 putt in hole.

                    Very plausible situation. Without the OB penalty, that would have left my third shot only 100 out which isn't far fetched at all.

                        corrected... I see the confusion in my scenario now as it was worded incorrectly. It should have read:

                        1) Par 5: Tee shot OB (1) Hit provisional into fairway (3) lay up to 100 yards (4) approach onto green (5) one putt for (6)
