This officer is going to have quite a lawsuit on this one....
No he doesn't. He has not one leg to stand on. He is in a probationary period. He can be fired because ........... Install any reason, install no reason and it is perfectly legal. He has no legal rights here. That is why the spinal **** they call the police chief fired him. It was an easy way out. Arlington has a history as well as most police departments have a history of laying it right on the officer, BBQing there arses in hopes of the uneducated ignorant public won't come after them.

Until you have been in that specific situation you really have no idea how you react. You can't imagine, you can't watch television and know, nothing in the world can prepare you for a confrontation with another human being in the middle of the night. When the responsibility falls on you and you alone, you have nobody to turn and ask. You don't have the ability to hit the stop button and analyze before reacting. You go from 1 mph to 100 mph and you have to do something. God blessed me for over 25 years that the split second decisions I made never came back and landed me in a the position that officer is in.

I am quite shocked and appalled at how the public is swayed by the liberal media. You ask these men to go out and do violence on your behalf but when the kitchen gets hot you cook the officer. Thank God and all that is Holy I am about done. I am leaving this uniform piled up the on the front steps of the PD when I leave. Never will I come back nor look back. You can have it and you can deal with it yourselves. I will be drinking Shiner Bock with a fishing pole in my hands.

Do you support the idea of killing someone over property? Really? I have a hard time believing that deadly force against theft is constitutional.
If you came home & walked in on a guy robbing you and your family's stuff, would you invite him to sit down & talk about Jesus. Or would you be "fair" and use only your fists. Or run away fast while dialing 911?

Case closed to me, give the cop a gift card to Landrys for a job well done. Back to duty next working day.

If a criminal breaks in to my place Im not going to just assume he is proably one of the better criminals who doesnt shoot people while burgaling. No cop should have to put his butt on the line assuming that either.
The cop even said 2 times on their radios that the guy looked like he had a suspicious looking object in his shorts. This is while the guy was banging on the glass trying to break it to get through to the officer. The guy goes into the back of the business. The rookie cop went around the side and met the guy face to face. The cop even fired a warning shot while the guy was coming at him. I think it boils down to more than just property being protected here.

If this guys parents would have done a better job parenting then there wouldn't be a story about this happening. Oh well, their church paid them $5000 and he got an officer fired. That's his legacy. Good boy!

              A) he won
              B) while he spent a ton of money defending himself.. he won.
              C) there have been numerous cases SINCE Joe Horn that didnt end up with the media bull**** that Joe Horn had to put up with due to race baiters getting involved.
              d) he won and his winning actually makes it easier for others in these circumstances.
              e) i agree, look up Joe Horn.

So, you would just stand there and take them on bare handed. All this bleeding heart crap needs to go out along with the tazers, bean bags and mace. People need to learn respect and some discipline for when they are told to do something they do it. If they make the wrong choices, that's on them. It's getting to where if your young and black you are untouchable by laws. It will only get worse as long as the few good ones fall out to protest for the criminal element in their kind and allowed to loot, burn and destroy. I guess if some of them burned your house down protesting you would stand by and be ok with that since it is "just property". Shooting to kill for looting, arson and destruction of property needs to be the norm, not the exception. These people need to grow up one way or another.

Not so when it comes to TX police civil service. This officer had less than one year making him subject to termination without cause. Had he reached the one year mark, he would almost certainly still be employed and drawing a paycheck.

He would "give space to those who wish to destroy."

My thoughts exactly. Material objects aren't worth someone's life. That being said if I feel threatened that's when it's time to use more decisive means of persuasion.

                              Yep.

Unless he can find a federal civil rights discrimination case, he has no case. I doubt that a white male probationary officer fired by a white male chief is going to find any discrimination case.

Lets not forget this man smashed car windshields with his hands and feet drove a car through the front doors of a dealership. Clearly he was on drugs or delusional. At what point would you consider someone this erratic a danger to the public. He did rush the police after all. 2-3 years ago this guy would still be employed. Just more political correctness.
