After finally getting my feeder pens cleaned up and feeders running again I plan on checking my cameras every Friday.

During the season I check them whenever I'm at camp, which is usually twice a month. During the spring and summer season they are lucky to be checked once every two months

I have a theory, I figure that if I’m there once a week the regular deer will get use to my scent. That way if during the season I don’t cover well enough then they won’t get spooked if they catch a wif of me. I may bew totally wrong but you never know.

My theory on checking after dark is that deer are less likely to run far in the darkness. They may just move off from the vehicle and watch from the brush.

mix up some Vanilla with corn and throw it out then use it when hunting deer smell the Vanilla and associate it with food I have had them walk to me when the wind was blowing right at them(still use the wind to your advantage) but it worked for me more than once

No, I think it just disturbs them less under the cover of darkness.
