What county did you renew in?

I got one in Roanoke about a year ago. I was behind an 18 wheeler as we approached the light. I was helping a friend move and was towing a loaded 16 ft. flatbed.
We were traveling the access road on Hwy 114 going uphill. I couldn't see the light ahead because of the 18 wheeler until it was too late. I watched the video and the light turned yellow just a second before I entered the intersection. The yellow light lasted about two seconds.I was almost through the intersection when it turned red.
I saw the flash. If I had slammed on the brakes I would have caused the vehicle behind me to slam into my trailer.
I considered going to court but figured my time was worth more than the $75.00 ticket. I think it's chickens***.

You can request a hearing on each citation, sit in a room and view the citation with a monitoring judge. If it wasn't you driving, or you argue your case well enough, it can get reversed, easily.
Its a civil judgment.
My brother called me bitching a few weeks ago about one he got for turning right on red. "I know I stopped 100 percent before I turned, the cameras are bullshat and I didn't do anything wrong"...etc etc.. I showed him how to view it online per his instructions.... He called me back a few minutes later and said...."Well Ill be ****ed, I didn't even slow down before I turned, I dont remember doing that".
But I digress, Red light cameras are evil money making big government conspiracies. I would call the media, complain about the man keeping you down, start a hashtag campaign on twitter...#TearTheTicket or something.
I got one earlier this year, and can't even remember being at the intersection in question. AND, the photos they mailed me even showed the rear view of my car, with the brake lights on.

People slam on the brakes trying to stop before the light on yellow and cause more accidents.
I got one once. I thought it was bull crap, they gave me a video of the incident and I ran it really bad. So I paid it.
I believe the law states you have to come to a complete stop when making a right on red.

It's totally bull****, and I don't know how it's legal, but that is what it is.
BTW, as you know, you can turn right on red unless it is otherwise posted. Where people screw this up us ghat they don't know that before you execute a right hand turn on red, you MUST come to a complete stop. Not sure of you knew that or nit, bit figured I'd put it out there. I'm sure someone who reads this didn't know that.
