I'm looking at one of the smaller port-a-cool portable AC units to be used primarily at tailgates in September/October... Does anyone have experience with them, and if so, how well do they work?

We have them at our shop and they do cool the air. They work best in lower humidity conditions because the principal behind them is evaporation to cool. We have been really humid in our area but there is still probably a 15 -20 degree difference in temperature at the fan as compared to a regular floor fan blowing hot air. As stated above don't flood the pads we try to keep them about 50% wet
