I have: 1)twisted x square toe boots for my banking job
2)ariat steel toe for long days of work
                3) tony llama square toe leather soled for riding (keep my Spurs on them 24-7

The only time I wear tennis shoes is if I'm working out or not planning on doing anything beyond walking around. With the boots I have, I'd have to say that my tiny llamas are the best fitting boot. The leather sole isn't the most comfortable after a long day, but they fit better than my others. Ariat makes great boots, imo, and I'm gonna give their leather/rubber cross sole a try for my next pair

Prefer square over round. Double welt always. Actually prefer a crepe sole (even though they are out of style)-- when you spend 2 weeks in boots all day on concrete at horseshow, you start realizing how comfy a crepe sole is. Absorbs a lot of shock.

I actually just bought a pair of gator boots that I bought on looks alone. Didn't even know this brand of boot had a "fancy" line.... they are Rocky brand. Yeah as in the work boot. They were cheap enough that I decided to try them. They are as beautiful in person as the photo. Now to start breaking them in.

I prefer boots to all other shoes. My narrow and flat foot requires me to buy customs, so I wear ML Leddy and Pablo Jass from Lampasas. Square, pointed and round--love them all.

Anderson beans for me. Most comfortable boot I've found.

I really like those! Is that a thin crepe sole on the bottom of the leather? If you don't mind me asking- how much did a custom pair run you for that guy?

I'm sort of old school. Like the round roper toe. It's hard for me to look down at that square toe.
                              Larry Mahan ropers

Old school-Tony Lamas round toe in plain old bullhide.

I always look at square toes as biker boots. Just can't see them as "cowboy boots" but to each his own.
