Any pecan tree experts out there?

Just noticed a really nice-looking tree right under a gigantic old wild pecan tree. It's about 12 feet tall, nicely shaped, etc. Bark, everything looks just like a pecan. Not sure about the leaves, though. I thought pecan leaves were more pointed, but there are different varieties of pecans. The leaves on the giant tree are narrower, more curved and pointed. Any help? The quarter is on there for scale.
