We always called them banana spiders also. Make those thick yellow super sticky webs across all your trails.
Yeah, for some good entertainment, throw a cricket or grasshopper into that web and watch how fast he catches it and spins a web around it.

Stop drop and roll. Stranger danger! Run! Hide under your desk!

The spider doesn't bother me, however if ran in to that I would feel like I had web stuck all over the rest of the day

That is why in the early season and it's dark, I carry an arrow to wave around in front of me as I walk down the trail. I've never had a spider hurt me, but a few have made me hurt myself over the years...

Wouldn't have noticed it. I'd be making sure I'm not stepping on a rattler

Bisch--exactly why I hate finding that first tick!!!! Spend the rest of the day/weekend feeling and not finding any more.

I can tell you from previous experience, that I scream like a girl and p down both legs, that's why I carry a stick or something similar, (I look like big kid searching for the piƱata) on my way to the stand. I absolutely hate walking into spider webs with my face.

Im dont like useing a light and walk into them pretty often and just wipe them away quickly. When something big hits their web they make a mad dash for the outer edge most of the time. Now when I feel one crawling on my neck a swat pretty fast.

I always called em a golden orb spider. Don't know the real name but I walked face first into one last week. I did B.....plus killed the spider. I knew he'd eventually build his web again (probably in the same spot) so he went bye, bye.
