If people mount a big axis like this, do they mount him with the ear tag? I don't think so but j/w since never seen any with tags on the wall.

Heck yeah! If I ever get an arrow in that big dude, I am going to mount him like this with the tag in his ear and maybe even some alfalfa hanging out of his mouth.....

Just ribbing for sure! Two of my good friends now live in Lindale within an hour of Marty. I'm surprised they haven't tried to set up and annual membership with him!

I probably won't get back up there until our annual trip in late season. Definitely will not miss that trip though. I'm not gonna pass on one of those big aoudad again! Or sika, or possibly spotted fallow...

I would like to go take one of those big axis or even a sika. But I have to spend about 8 grand on fence this year on my place so one day I can have my own sika and fallow and blackbuck.

Had a buddy that had quite a few axis and got stuck twice. Once in the rear and the second time in the guts, I think by the same axis.
