Sulphur works - but you will never get the sulphur smell out of the clothes.

It's how Under Armour got started! Your friend is an innovator! Haha

I really think some truth to this. I have gotten less chiggers while wearing snake boots and shorts instead of pants. Also, I have switched to short sleeve shirts and just apply sunscreen in lieu of long sleeves.

In the Army we werent big on wearing panty hose (just messing around lol), we had a Sgt. in my Section that learned a cool trick in Ranger School and worked like a charm. You know those disposable nast flea collars they sell at the grocery? Well if you blouse your boots with them they wont crawl up your legs. We had them bad at Ft. Hood. Actually had a 1st Sgt medevaced out of the field, he went to sleep on the ground in a nest of them chiggers. He was weeping blood all through his BDUs and had to wear PT gear back in garrsion for months. I still have permanent scars on my ankles from digging them out with my fingernails until I learned this trick.

Scuba diving in Alaska we always wore panty hose under our wetsuits. No so much for the warmth, but it made getting the wetsuits on and off WAY easier!

                  And, thanks for the tips.

I knew a few skinny boys, that couldn't take the cold, that wore thigh high panty hose under their football pants and socks those last couple games of the season.

Flea collars around the boots at ankle work great too

Before Merino wool base layers became readily available, I would wear panty hose while working in the winter, as well as hunting. They work.

Flee and tic collars for pets around your ankles work very well. We used them at Ft Bragg NC. And that place had world class chiggers.

That is about the most disturbing picture I have seen in a very long time.
